“La casa de Piñeiro” is an old house that has been renovated conserving the original design.
It keeps all the traditional flavours, the charms and the appealing features of a Galician house without leaving aside all the comforts of modern life.
Situated in a peaceful environment, we can enjoy the beautiful landscapes and the tranquillity of the countryside.
It has got two floors. On the ground floor, there is a warm kitchen, a sitting room, a bathroom and a huge living room (60 metres) which used to be one of the old stables. The kitchen keeps all the characteristic elements of the old house.
The living room has got a large table and benches. It has also got two armchairs, a sofa and two stoves
The big windows in the living room open into the garden.
It is surrounded by a high hedge, which provides complete privacy.
The sitting room has got comfortable sofas, wooden floors and a stove installed on a stone base.
The furniture in the house is mainly original and has been restored by the owners.
There is a fully equipped bathroom next to the sitting room.
Upstairs there is a wide and bright corridor with an iron banister and has a beautiful view of the countryside.
The corridor joins onto three double rooms (one of them with twin beds) furnished with old restored furniture.There is also a bathroom upstairs.
The first floor is made of wood and it preserves the original wooden beams up high.
The twin-bed room receives the sunset and the heat from the downstairs fire.
OUTSIDE
The house is surrounded by a garden and open fields.
One can have lunch in the shade of a chestnut tree or have a rest under a hundred-year-old fig tree or an old oak. Or just sit in the garden, in the sunshine.
The peaceful afternoons are only broken by the chirp of the birdsongs.
